BEC 2700/1702: Introduction to Principles of Macroeconomics provides a strong foundation in understanding how the economy works as a whole. The course covers national income measurement, determinants of economic growth, and the management of inflation and unemployment, giving students the tools to analyze the performance of the Zambian economy. Students will explore the role of central banking, fiscal policy, and monetary policy, and develop practical skills such as calculating GDP, analyzing shifts in aggregate demand and supply, and evaluating trade balances. Key strengthening areas include applying macroeconomic indicators to real-world data, analyzing government policies and stabilization strategies, and mastering core macroeconomic concepts and structured analysis. Aligned with university standards, this course equips students to excel and aim for a minimum of a B+ in Macroeconomics. 📈
